SATYRICON: Live Interview To Air Tonight

April 5, 2006

SATYRICON will be the featured guests on the Norwegian metal radio show "Tinitus", airing tonight (April 5) between 20:00 (8:00 p.m.) and 22:00 (10:00 p.m.) on P3. The show is also available on the Internet: www.nrk.no/tinitus. An official press release from "Tinitus" reads as follows:

"Guitarist Steinar Gundersen and Obsidian C [a.k.a. Arnt Grønbech] will squeeze into our Konstabel uniforms, whipping out fines to each other or firing gun shots in the air as we'll spin a track off their respective bands' latest recordings — SYSTEM:OBSCURE and KEEP OF KALESSIN. They'll also be going off on the ENSLAVED single, 'Path of Vanir', taken from new album, 'Ruun'."

"Sinking in the comfort of the main interview seat a little later in the show — vocalist Satyr and drummer Frost from SATYRICON. Expect as much light-heartedness as pulling your teeth out with your bare hands. Just the way we like it. Dark and painful is going to be our catch-up chat with one of the biggest Norwegian black metal bands around nowadays. Black metal is serious stuff, we'd like to remind you. The interview will be conducted in English.

"In typical 'Tinitus' style, you’ll also get served a bunch of top audio treats: tracks from the new IHSAHN, MINISTRY, ENSLAVED and PURIFIED IN BLOOD albums as well as the new MORTIIS single, 'Decadent And Desperate'. Perfect for the ones that like it a little harder than usual."

Immediately prior to appearing on "Tinitus", SATYRICON will perform live on P3 in front of a live audience of about 100 people. Transmission of the show starts at 6:03 p.m. Mainman Satyr will answer questions from the studio audience at aproximately 6:35 p.m. The concert will start at 6:55 p.m. and will be over at 7:55 p.m.

To hear the concert on the Internet, simply log on to www.nrk.no/p3 in the upper left column click "Nettradio" and a pop-up window will appear with a stream of the show. Another way is to click the "Nettradio" button in the green field below the top banner.
