SAVAGE MESSIAH Signs With CANDLELIGHT RECORDS

February 6, 2009

London, England-based melodic thrashers SAVAGE MESSIAH have inked a deal with Candlelight Records. The group says, "This is a major step for the band and we are extremely excited to finish the new album and set a release date."

SAVAGE MESSIAH is currently recording its new CD with producer Chris Tsangarides, a Grammy-nominated producer and mixing engineer for bands such as JUDAS PRIEST, THIN LIZZY, BLACK SABBATH, BRUCE DICKINSON and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN. The band expects to complete the recording process around March 5 and release the effort sometime this summer.

SAVAGE MESSIAH was formed by vocalist, lead guitarist, and all-around creative force Dave Silver shortly after the demise of his previous band, HEADLESS CROSS. Within a few months, Silver had almost single-handedly recorded the band's 2007 debut, "Spitting Venom", but added drummer Pete Hunt (ex-MARSHALL LAW),bassist Chris O'Toole and co-lead guitarist James Tyler for SAVAGE MESSIAH's live appearances.

SAVAGE MESSIAH's current lineup:

Dave Silver - Lead Guitar and Vocals
Sy Taplin - Lead Guitar
Sasha Cron - Bass
Ernie Nogara - Drums
