"It was something about me wanting to play Madison Square Garden," Caffery says. "I wrote it 20 years ago."

Tomorrow, two decades later, Caffery will indeed perform a sold-out show on the Garden's stage as one of the four guitarists in the 60-piece orchestra and chorus band TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA (TSO).

"It's the Garden," Caffery says. "It's the most famous venue in the world. It's gonna be a great show, a celebration."

He's excited, but controlled. He's not the same 16-year-old who would have been giddy to play the Garden. He's a 37-year-old adult musician whose childhood dreams just happen to be coming true, though not quite the way he dreamed them. Read more.
