SCORPIONS: Canadian Support Act Announced

According to a posting at ScorpsNews.com, Toronto-based band THE ROOM will open for German hard rock veterans SCORPIONS on their upcoming Canadian tour. Confirmed dates are as follows:

Aug. 25 - Shawinigan, QC – [to be announced]
Aug. 28 - Ottawa, ON - LeBreton Festival Park
Aug. 30 - Montreal, QC - Vieux-Port (Quai Jacques-Cartier)
Sep. 01 - Chicoutini, QC - [to be announced]

Audio samples of all 12 songs that are set to appear on the forthcoming SCORPIONS album, "Humanity - Hour 1", are now available at the website of the German online retailer Weltbild.de. The CD was produced by James Michael and co-produced by songwriter/producer Desmond Child, who has worked with such high-profile pop/rock artists as AEROSMITH, BON JOVI, ALICE COOPER, KISS, RICKY MARTIN, CHER, MICHAEL BOLTON and BONNIE TYLER.

SCORPIONS performed the new song "Humanity", on March 24 at a special concert to celebrate the 50th anniversary of signing the Roman treaty, which became the basis for foundation of the European Union. Watch a video clip of SCORPIONS' performance at YouTube.
