SCUM OF THE EARTH: Eight Songs Completed For New Album

SCUM OF THE EARTH, the band founded by former ROB ZOMBIE guitarist Riggs, has begun pre-production on the follow-up to its debut album, "Blah...Blah...Blah... Love Songs for the New Millennium". Eight songs have bee completed so far, and "it's turning out to be a bone-crushing, stripper extravaganza," says Riggs. "We have a temporary title of 'Sleaze Freak', among others."

SCUM OF THE EARTH's as-yet-untitled new CD is will be released by Eclipse Records before the end of the year. Eclipse president Chris Poland says, "I have heard some demo tracks of 3-4 tunes that Riggs emailed me on mp3 and i have to say I haven't stopped playing them on my PC. They are the sickest guitar grinds and go-go beats I have heard yet from this amazing musician whose creativity seems to know no boundaries. While some are heavy and pulse-oriented as you might expect, others are quite eerie and almost surreal in nature, a true contrast from song to song, and I just can't wait to hear the finished product. I know the legions of fans will be pleased with the end result."

SCUM OF THE EARTH's debut album, "Blah…Blah…Blah…Love Songs for the New Millennium", featured Riggs alongside an all-star cast of friends, including John Dolmayan (drums; SYSTEM OF A DOWN),and John Tempesta (drums; HELMET, WHITE ZOMBIE, ROB ZOMBIE, TESTAMENT, EXODUS) and his brother Mike Tempesta (guitar; ex-POWERMAN 5000). The Tempestas' appearance on the album marked the first time the brothers have played together on record.
