SEBASTIAN BACH Cancels Detroit Appearance Due To Family Crisis

February 14, 2002

Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach has pulled out of his scheduled stint as the host of the WRIF-presented Ritz Reunion Bash, which is taking place tonight, February 14th at the Emerald Theater in Detroit, Michigan. Specifics are sketchy at the moment, but it appears that the Bierk family (Sebastian's real last name) is going through a health-related crisis at the moment, which has caused the frontman to cancel his engagement at the last minute. Here was the message posted by Sebastian on his official web site regarding this matter: “Unfortunately, I am not able to honor my engagement tonight at the Emerald Theater in Detroit. It kills me to miss a gig, but I am going through some personal stuff right now that is 100% the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with & it is kicking my ass. I never missed a show in Rocky Horror & we did 8-9 shows every 6 days for 3 months & I was very proud of that, but what I am dealing with now only happens once in a lifetime & it is very hard getting through the day at this particular point in time for me & my family. I am very sorry to those of you in Detroit that were coming to party with me but these circumstances are in God's hands & I apologize to all my Motor City fellow rockers, I hope to come back to Detroit as soon as I can.”
