SEPULTURA: 60,000 People Expected To Attend Havana Concert
July 18, 2008ACN, the Cuban News Agency, reports that members of the Brazilian band SEPULTURA, one of the greatest exponents of extreme metal in Latin America, said they were "happy to be in Cuba," where they are to perform on Saturday (July 19).
"It's an honor to be in this country, and to have the opportunity to perform at the Tribuna Antiimperialista," said guitar player Andreas Kisser at a press conference. The Tribuna Antimperialista (Anti-imperialist Grandstand) is a square across the US Interest Section in Havana, where cultural and political rallies take place.
According to organizers, more than 60,000 people are expected to attend the concert.
"We know that young Cubans are looking forward to the concert on Saturday," said Kisser.
"We are going to play classic songs and new songs, and also some songs of our new album, which is currently in the production stage. It was inspired by Kubrick's film 'A Clockwork Orange'," said Kisser.
