SERJ TANKIAN, TOM MORELLO, EDDIE VEDDER Contribute To 'War'

February 6, 2008

The Pulse of Radio reports that SYSTEM OF A DOWN vocalist Serj Tankian, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE guitarist Tom Morello and PEARL JAM frontman Eddie Vedder are among the artists contributing songs to the soundtrack of an upcoming film called "Body of War". According to RollingStone.com, the documentary follows the story of 26-year-old veteran Tomas Young, who was shot and paralyzed while serving in Iraq for less than a week. Young subsequently began his own campaign to question the U.S. invasion and occupation.

Young selected the songs for the soundtrack himself, with proceeds going to Iraq Veterans Against the War.

The double-disc soundtrack, titled "Body of War: Songs That Inspired an Iraq War Veteran", will arrive on March 18. The movie will also open in theatres sometime in March. Vedder has contributed a song called "No More", which he premiered with PEARL JAM at last summer's Lollapalooza festival. NEIL YOUNG, BRIGHT EYES and others will also appear on the soundtrack.
