SEVENDUST Name New Album
July 5, 2003SEVENDUST have set "Seasons" as the title for their fourth full-length studio album, tentatively due in October through TVT Records.
The band have recorded 16 tracks during the sessions for the upcoming CD at Atlanta's Ruby Red Studios with producer Butch Walker (INJECTED, SR-71). Around 12-13 songs will end up on the final CD, which is scheduled to be mixed shortly at NRG Recording in North Hollywood by Jay Baumgardner (PAPA ROACH, ALIEN ANT FARM, DROWNING POOL). Among the tracks recorded for the album is a cover of MARVIN GAYE's "Inner City Blues", which is likely to be included on a forthcoming soundtrack or as a b-side. Other cuts recorded during the sessions include "Disgrace", "Seasons", "Honesty", "Skeleton Song" and "Enemy (Pez)".
SEVENDUST are planning to hit the road in August for some headlining dates before performing a few acoustic shows in September. The band have also been confirmed to play the NAMM show in Nashville, Tennessee on July 19.
As previously reported, the SEVENDUST song "Leech" will be released on the soundtrack for the "Freddy vs. Jason" movie, due on August 5 through Roadrunner Records. "Leech" was recorded during the recording sessions for the "Animosity" record, but ended up being left out of the album's final running order.
