SEVENDUST Pulls Out Of Australian Tour With AVENGED SEVENFOLD

July 12, 2011

SEVENDUST has pulled out of its previously announced tour of Australia as the support act for AVENGED SEVENFOLD. The five-date trek was scheduled to kick off on July 28 in Brisbane.

Commented SEVENDUST in a statement: "Unfortunately we will not be making the trip to Australia this time with AVENGED SEVENFOLD. We will be making plans to come back soon. So sorry for any inconvenience and look forward to our next tour there."

Affected dates:

Jul. 28 - Brisbane, Entertainment Centre
Jul. 30 - Sydney, Entertainment Centre
Aug. 02 - Melbourne, Festival Hall
Aug. 03 - Adelaide, Thebarton Theatre
Aug. 06 - Perth, Challenge Stadium

SEVENDUST last month cut its European tour short due to "a few unseen obstacles," according to guitarist Clint Lowery. He added, "[We] had a blast while we were [there]. We'll be back." The trek was scheduled to conclude June 24 in Madrid.

"Cold Day Memory", the new album from SEVENDUST, sold around 27,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart.

SEVENDUST's previous album, "Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow", opened with 25,000 units back in April 2008 to land at position No. 19.

"Cold Day Memory" was released on April 20, 2010 on the band's own 7Bros. Records, through Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group. The CD produced by Grammy Award winner Johnny K (DISTURBED, STAIND, 3 DOORS DOWN, PLAIN WHITE T'S) is the group's first new album with its original lineup back together with Clint Lowery's return after his departure in 2003.

SEVENDUST will head out on the Uproar tour later this summer.
