SEVENDUST, SOIL: First Tour Dates Announced

SEVENDUST will be teaming up with SOIL for a U.S. tour beginning on May 4 in Wisconsin. Additional support will come from HOURCAST. Confirmed dates so far are as follows:

May 04 - La Crosse, WI - La Crosse Center
May 05 - Superior, WI - Wessman Arena
May 06 - Peoria, IL - Expo Gardens
May 09 - Chicago, IL - House Of Blues
May 17 - Memphis, TN - The New Daisy

In other news, SEVENDUST have been forced to cancel their previously announced March 27 appearance in Allentown, PA after their "equipment semi experienced mechanical issues while in Michigan," according to a posting on the group's web site.

SEVENDUST are continuing to tour in support of their fifth album, "Next" (WineDark/7Bros Records),which debuted at No. 20 on The Billboard 200 chart with first-week sales of more than 41,000 copies.

SOIL's new album, "True Self" (view cover artwork here),is scheduled for release on May 2 via DRT Entertainment. The follow-up to 2004's "Redefine" was recorded and mixed at Bomb Shelter studios in Los Angeles, California with producer Ulrich Wild (STATIC-X, TAPROOT). The upcoming CD will be the group's first to feature Cavalier, who previously fronted the California-based DIESEL MACHINE (also featuring ex-DAMAGEPLAN frontman Patrick Lachman on guitar). The band's original vocalist, Ryan McCombs, has since joined the Texas act DROWNING POOL.
