SEVERED HAND Parts Ways With Singer

August 7, 2006

SEVERED HAND, the New Jersey-based power/thrash metal band featuring Paris Bierk (son of former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach),has parted ways with its lead vocalist, Walter Figueroa (IMPRECARI, PARADOX),due to "musical and creative differences." The group will carry on with the lineup of Mitchell Burger (bass),Dave Keelan (vocals/guitar),Paul Christian (lead guitar),and Paris Bierk (drums).

Keelan offered his thoughts on Figueroa's departure: "Walter, you know…he was like a very rare, fine, aged wine… but we just want to drink whiskey."

SEVERED HAND will open for New York thrash metal legends CARNIVORE (featuting Peter Steele from TYPE O NEGATIVE) on September 2 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ.
