SHAAMAN Frontman Joins Forces With EYES OF SHIVA For Japanese TV Appearance

January 24, 2006

Vocalist André Matos (SHAAMAN, ex-ANGRA) and the Brazilian band EYES OF SHIVA recently teamed up to record an in-studio live performance for the Japanese show "Agenda+", which airs on IPC TV. Matos and EYES OF SHIVA played several songs on the program, including "Kamisama", a tribute to the legendary Brazilian soccer player Zico, who is the current coach of the Japanese national team.

EYES OF SHIVA's sophomore album, "Deep", is available now in Japan through JVC/Victor Entertainment, and in Mexico via Scarecrow Records. The CD, which features guest appearances by Matos and Hugo Mariutti (guitar) from SHAAMAN and Fabio Laguna (keyboards) from ANGRA, reportedly focuses on the current political themes and social issues, with the songs following a "heavier, experimental and modern" direction without sacrificng the group's Brazilian and Latin influences. Audio samples are available at www.myspace.com/eyesofshiva.

EYES OF SHIVA's debut álbum, "Eyes of Soul", was released in 2004 by JVC/Victor Entertainment in Asia and Locomotive/Warner Music in Europe and USA.
