SHADOWS FALL Announce Headlining Shows; Prepare To Attend NAMM

January 6, 2006

SHADOWS FALL have lined up a string of headlining shows in March with AGNOSTIC FRONT, STILL REMAINS and BYZANTINE in the support slots. Look for the band to possibly debut some of their highly-anticipated new material at these shows. Also, be sure to check out their latest DVD, entitled "The Art of Touring", featuring over two hours of on-the-road antics and live performances filmed from 2002 through 2004 on "The Art of Balance" album touring cycle while on the road in the U.S., Europe and Japan. Also featured here are all six of the band's promotional videos to date from "Thoughts Without Words" to "Inspiration On Demand". Several guest appearances, rare cover songs and a special tribute to Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott that features a live jam of the classic PANTERA track "Walk" (performed by DAMAGEPLAN and SHADOWS FALL in the fall of 2004) round out the DVD.

Brian Fair (vocals) checks in with the following comments with regards to the upcoming shows: "The time has finally come for SHADOWS FALL to hit the road. After months of being trapped in the studio and practice space, we are ready to hit the stage with a vengeance! Our year-end marathon hometown show in Massachusetts was an amazing reminder that there ain't no party like a SHADOWS FALL party. Hahaha! Thanks to everyone that came out and killed it with us at Pearl Street. We will be hitting the East Coast in March for a short tour before we re-enter into our studio hibernation. We will be joined by NYHC legends AGNOSTIC FRONT, STILL REMAINS and BYZANTINE. AGNOSTIC FRONT are the kings on metal/hardcore crossover. Always have been, always will be. It is an honor to be sharing the stage with a band that was a HUGE influence on my own attitude towards music. We are planning on mixing up the set-list and busting out a few surprises, hopefully mixing in some new material as well. We will see ya' there!"

Drummer Jason Bittner describes his thoughts on the annual NAMM convention: "Every January for the last 6 years I looked forward to heading out Anaheim to the NAMM convention. For musicians it's like being a kid in a candy store. All equipment is there at your disposal, as well as the rock and rollers. My exposure has changed over the last 3 years and I've been lucky enough to become more of an artist than a spectator. This year proves that as I will be appearing at the Tama, Meinl and Pro-Mark booths for signings, photos, etc. In conjunction with these signings we will be releasing my brand new signature series bell blast ride cymbal, signature Pro-Mark drumsticks, as well as the release of mine and Chris Adler's full-length DVD performance at the Modern Drummer fest last year. So that being said I look forward to seeing all our friends out there and making new ones while there."

The group's Active Rock hit "What Drives The Weak" was also recently nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Metal Performance" category alongside such acclaimed artists as MINISTRY, MUDVAYNE, RAMMSTEIN and SLIPKNOT. The track is featured on the group's latest offering, "The War Within", which originally debuted at #20 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and it is quickly approaching 250,000 units SoundScanned. The album garnered accolades in such mainstream publications as Billboard, Blender and Giant, among others while SHADOWS FALL were also hailed as a "Band To Watch In 2005" by Rolling Stone, Spin and Stuff magazine.
