December 8, 2005SHADOWS FALL have announced a special one-off show on Friday, December 30 at the Pearl Street Nightclub in Northampton, Massachusetts. "There will only be ONE chance to catch SHADOWS FALL live in the next several months as we disappear to write the next album for your listening pleasure," the band write on their web site. "We return to Western Mass for the first time in years for a very special, holiday weekend show. . . It's going to be a crazy time with lots of suprises, new material and some stuff you may have not heard in a while." Also appearing on the bill will be Prosthetic recording artists THE ACACIA STRAIN, the rock and roll monolith known as HOTBLACK and newcomers to the scene HARVEY GONE ROTTEN.
As previously reported, SHADOWS FALL drummer Jason Bittner is currently in Chicago recording a track with his "buddy" Tristian Grigsby (also known as "1690" from the PANTERA home videos) for Grigsby's upcoming "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott tribute CD that is going to feature contributions from a number of well-known musicians from the metal community. "Considering this being the one-year anniversary of our brother's death, the atmosphere in the studio should be a little sad, I'm sure, but we're gonna kick it hard for 'The Idol,'" Bittner said.
