SHADOWS FALL To 'Bust Out' New Tunes At Upcoming Shows

March 26, 2009

New England metallers SHADOWS FALL "will be busting out some new tunes" from their upcoming album when they hit the road starting next month. Newly added shows include a support slot with KORN on Friday, May 22 in Wallingford, Connecticut and an appearance at this year's Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee in June.

The SHADOWS FALL/KORN show will be presented by WCCC radio at the Chevrolet Theater. Tickets are $39.50 and are on sale this Friday starting at 10:00 a.m.

The date for the SHADOWS FALL Bonnaroo performance is to be announced. The festival runs from June 11 to June 14 in Manchester, Tennessee.

Commented vocalist Brian Fair: "SHADOWS FALL is very happy to announce that we will be playing our only show in the local area on May 22 with KORN in Wallingford. The event is being sponsored by our friends at WCCC, a radio station that has always supported SHADOWS FALL and countless other local bands. We will be busting out some new tunes from our upcoming album so be sure to come on down and rip it up with us. And what?! SHADOWS FALL on a festival with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and SNOOP DOGG?! Hells yeah! I could not be more excited to have been invited to play at this year's Bonnaroo festival. I love sharing the stage with such a diverse group of bands and bringing a little metal to the proceedings. SHADOWS FALL will be representing the heavier side of music, along with our friends in DOWN and THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, among others. Personally, I get to relive my dirty hippy days and rock out to PHISH for the first time in years, haha! Come on down, and help us start the largest circle pit in the history of this festival!"

Upcoming SHADOWS FALL dates:

Apr. 11 - Farmingdale, NY - The Crazy Donkey
Apr. 30 - Manila - Pulp Summer Slam
May 22 – Wallingford, CT – Chevrolet Theater
Jun. 11-14 – Manchester, TN - Bonnaroo
Jun. 25 - Anchorage, AK - Chilkkoot Charlies
Jun. 29 - Anchorage, AK - Club Millennium

SHADOWS FALL recently announced the formation of the band's own label in conjunction with Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group and Ferret Music. The group will release its sixth studio album this fall.

SHADOWS FALL's latest effort, "Threads of Life", was made available through Atlantic Records in the U.S. and Roadrunner Records in Europe.

SHADOWS FALL drummer Jason Bittner stated about the band's new material, "The songs are a little more on the darker, angry side... lots of heaviness, lots of crazy guitar, and LOTS of room for me to have some fun. There is no doubt in my mind that this will be the best performance of my career, so far, and I owe that to my guys for bringing me incredible riffs to write killer drum parts to."
