SHAITAN MAZAR Call It Quits

SHAITAN MAZAR, the band featuring former NILE members Chief Spires (bass, vocals) and John Ehlers (guitar),appear to have split up.

"Honestly I don't know what Chief's position is on this, BUT I know for sure Robert [Dirr, guitar] and Jake [Axelson, drums] were quitting," singer Jason Hohenstein (also in LECHEROUS NOCTURNE) wrote in an online posting. "This I was told after a 'meeting' Tuesday night [May 17].

"I will continue with LECHEROUS NOCTURNE until I'm dead, and continue to write and record with HELL'S HALF ACRE which will be coming out in a couple of months..

"Thanks to everyone who supported us while we were together..."
