SHINEDOWN: 'Rockline' Appearance Available For Streaming

October 1, 2008

Jacksonville, Florida-based hard rock/post-grunge band SHINEDOWN was intereviewed on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" with host Bob Coburn on Monday, September 15. The program is now available for streaming at this location.

SHINEDOWN's "Devour" single recently reached #1 on both the Billboard Active and Mediabase Rock charts. Fresh off of its success, the band released "Second Chance" as the next single from their album "The Sound Of Madness" on September 9.

For SHINEDOWN lead singer Brent Smith, "Second Chance" is the most autobiographical track on the album. Smith wrote the lyrics about leaving his native Knoxville, Tennessee, to pursue a career in rock 'n' roll.

"This song for me is the most personal song on the record because it's about how I grew up and my childhood," commented Brent. "It's about throwing caution to the wind and going after what you truly want in life."
