SHINEDOWN's New Single Is A Success At Radio
May 15, 2008Over the course of just three albums, Atlantic recording group SHINEDOWN has quickly become a core artist at both rock and modern rock radio. Case in point? The band's first single from their forthcoming third album "The Sound Of Madness", "Devour", rocketed up both charts upon its first week going for adds this week.
"Devour" is already at #14 (rock) and #28 (alternative) on the BDS charts leaving little doubt that the track is sure to become the band's eighth consecutive Top 5 track in the very near future.
SHINEDOWN's highly anticipated third album, "The Sound Of Madness" which was produced by multiple Grammy Award winner Rob Cavallo (KID ROCK, GREEN DAY, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE) will arrive in stores and at online retailers on June 24. In addition, "Devour" will serve as the theme song to World Wrestling Entertainment's June pay-per-view event "Night of Champions", slated for June 29. The single will also be featured on ESPN throughout the current Major League Baseball season.
The Jacksonville, Florida-based rock outfit has just begun a number of headlining and festival dates where it is previewing several songs from the new album live. The itinerary kicked off with a hometown co-headlining slot at Band Camp this past Friday at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. A full-scale North American tour in support of "The Sound Of Madness" will be announced shortly.
