June 20, 2012

Jacksonville, Florida-based hard rock/post-grunge band SHINEDOWN will guest on tonight's (June 20) episode of Conan O'Brien's nighttime talk show on TBS, "Conan", for a truly special acoustic performance of the group's current hit single, "Unity". The appearance will see the band and TeamCoco joining forces to create an undeniably unique viewing experience. Fans at home will be able to participate in a Twitter scavenger hunt by locating key hashtags throughout the telecast. Among the exciting prizes on offer will be VIP tickets to SHINEDOWN's upcoming tour as well as an exclusive phone call from frontman Brent Smith.

"Unity", the latest single from "Amaryllis", is shaping up as another massive rock radio smash for SHINEDOWN. Currently ascending the Top 10 at rock radio outlets nationwide, the track follows the #1 success of the album's first single, "Bully", which marked the band's seventh consecutive chart-topper at the format.

SHINEDOWN's fourth studio album, titled "Amaryllis", sold 106,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 4 on The Billboard 200 chart.

SHINEDOWN landed the biggest debut of its career in July 2008 when its third album, "The Sound Of Madness", sold 50,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200. This marked the first Top 10 album of the band's career.

"Amaryllis" arrived in stores almost four years after the band issued "The Sound Of Madness".

The million-selling "The Sound Of Madness" yielded six chart-topping singles like "Second Chance", "Devour", "If You Only Knew" and the title track. It debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, spending 120 weeks on the album chart.

SHINEDOWN recently headlined the 2012 edition of the Avalanche Tour, with ADELITAS WAY, NEW MEDICINE and ART OF DYING also on the bill.
