SHINEDOWN To Release 'Madness' Deluxe Edition

October 6, 2010

According to The Pulse Of Radio, SHINEDOWN will release a deluxe CD/DVD edition of its platinum 2008 album, "The Sound Of Madness", on November 23. The set will feature nine bonus songs, including a version of the track "Breaking Inside" with guest vocals from HALESTORM's Lzzy Hale, along all the music videos filmed for "The Sound Of Madness", an interview and five live clips previously available only on iTunes.

"The Sound Of Madness" has become SHINEDOWN's biggest album since debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard album chart in June 2008. SHINEDOWN frontman Brent Smith gave The Pulse Of Radio his thoughts a while back on why the band has managed to do so well. "Why it's worked is because when we came out, we were very much a no-nonsense type band," he said. "It was about being humble but being honest, and also being confident in who you were. We still wake up every single day and thank the heavens above that we're able to do this for a living, 'cause I know it's what we dreamed about since we were, you know, kids."

SHINEDOWN has been touring for two and a half years behind "The Sound Of Madness", which has sold over a million copies and produced five Top 5 rock singles, including "The Crow & The Butterfly" and "Second Chance".

The band recently announced an acoustic tour called "Anything & Everything - An Acoustic Evening With Shinedown". The trek will kick off on November 4 in Tampa, Florida, continuing through December 9, when it will wrap up in New Orleans.
