SHINING To Perform Special Gig In Oslo
August 1, 2007According to SHINING mastermind Niklas Kvarforth, the band will perform what he describes as a "very special ceremony" at Oslo's Maiden Club on Saturday, November 10. This will be the only date the band will play on Norwegian soil during the rest of 2007, and in all probability for quite a long time to come. Opening for SHINING will be the Norwegian psychopunk band HAUST, and another, yet-to-be-announced black metal band. There are only 300 tickets available for the event and they are expected to sell out fast.
Tickets can be obtained from Maiden Club directly at www.clubmaiden.no.
Fan-filmed video footage of SHINING performing in Arnhem, Holland last month has been posted on MySpace.
SHINING's new album, "V - Halmstad", was released in North America on June 26 via Osmose USA/The End Records.
SHINING filmed its controversial February 3, 2007 concert at Diezel in Halmstad, Sweden for an upcoming DVD, entitled "Fy Fan För Livet!" In addition to the live footage, the disc will consist of a two-hour "road movie" and the promotional video for the new song "Låt Oss Ta Allt Från Varandra". SHINING's setlist spanned the band's entire career and the show featured guest appearances by members of MAYHEM and CARPATHIAN FOREST.
