SILENT CIVILIAN To Film 'Atonement' Video

June 29, 2010

SILENT CIVILIAN — the band led by SPINESHANK vocalist Jonny Santos — will film a video for the song "Atonement" within the next two weeks in the Los Angeles area. The clip will be helmed by acclaimed director Scott Hansen (A DAY TO REMEMBER, ALESANA, A SKYLIT DRIVE, CARNIFEX),who previously worked with the band on its last video, "The Last One Standing" (see below).

SILENT CIVILIAN will embark on a massive fall headlining run dubbed the "Haunting The Masses Tour" with THE AUTUMN OFFERING and DESTROPHY as support. Exact cities and dates for the trek, which kicks off on August 27 in Phoenix and ends on September 29 in Los Angeles, will be announced soon.

Commented Santos: "I am looking forward to this tour as I feel it is a good solid package in the sense that there is something there for all metalheads. It is going to hit every major U.S. market as well as many secondary markets. Also, due to the high ticket prices of festival tours this summer, we will be keeping the ticket price for this tour under 20 dollars. We want the people who can't afford to spend 75 bucks for a lawn ticket to be able to go see a good metal show this summer. LOW DOUGH! Plus, there will be many giveaways on the tour, such as a signed guitar by all of the bands, meet-and-greets with the bands and giveaways from the tour sponsors."

SILENT CIVILIAN's sophomore album, "Ghost Stories", sold around 1,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 21 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

SILENT CIVILIAN's debut album, "Rebirth of the Temple", was released in May 2006. The CD was recorded at Undercity Recordings with former MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY guitarist Logan Mader producing and mixing.
