SILVERCHAIR Featured On 'WaveAid' DVD

June 8, 2005

In January this year, SILVERCHAIR performed at the unprecented WaveAid concert held in the Sydney Cricket Ground, which raised over $2.3 million dollars for the Tsunami Relief Fund. This event has now been made into a must-have DVD called "Waveaid – The DVD" and is available through Virgin Music. All profits from the sale of the DVD will be going to charities assisting victims of the tsunami disaster. The tracks included from SILVERCHAIR's performance on the day are as follows: "Israel's Son", "Without You", "Ana's Song (Open Fire)", "The Greatest View" and "The Door". Other artists on the DVD include MIDNIGHT OIL, POWDERFINGER, JOHN BUTLER TRIO, THE WRIGHTS, THE FINN BROTHERS, PETE MURRAY, KASEY CHAMBERS, NICK CAVE, MISSY HIGGINS and THE WAIFS.

In other news, U.S. fans can now see a live performance by THE DISSOCIATIVES — the collaboration between SILVERCHAIR frontman Daniel Johns and dance producer/artist Paul Mac — starting June 1 on Concert, the first television channel dedicated to live music. Concert is a free Video on Demand (VOD) television channel which allows viewers to watch programs when they want and how they want using their remote control. Filmed in Sydney during the band's Australian tour, "Live at the Enmore" will feature on Concert for an entire month from June 1 through June 30.
