SILVERCHAIR To Headline Australia's PYRAMID FESTIVAL

September 20, 2006

Australia's SILVERCHAIR will headline this year's Pyramid Festival on Philip Island (Victoria, Australia) on December 30. It will be the band's first Victorian show in over three and half years and will see them joining artists like THE LIVING END, XAVIER RUDD, BEAUTIFUL GIRLS and MYLO at the popular New Year's event.

The Newcastle trio is still working on their new album and they plan to unveil some of their new tunes at this show alongside some favourites from their previous discs. A release date for their new music has still not been set, but it will probably be some time in early 2007. The only other 2006 concert that the band has announced to date — Sydney's Homebake Festival — sold out in a matter of hours, so fans are advised to get in quick for Pyramid tickets when they go onsale Thursday, September 28. One more show much closer to home is also planned around the same time as their Pyramid appearance and details on this one other gig will be announced in the next week or so.
