Singer JIZZY PEARL Leaves TRACII GUNS Version Of L.A. GUNS

Singer Jizzy Pearl has announced his departure from the Tracii Guns-led version of L.A. GUNS. He writes on his official web site, "After an amazing two years in L.A. GUNS, I have decided to move on. This decision was not based on anger or animosity I have nothing but respect for Tracii and the guys. They can, and will, carry on better than ever. I wish all good luck and good music in the future."

Pearl, who was previously a member of both LOVE/HATE and RATT, joined L.A GUNS for the first time in 1999 and appeared on the band's "Shrinking Violet" album.

Tracii started L.A. GUNS while still in high school in 1982. The original singer, Michael Jagosz, was replaced by Axl Rose. Signed to PolyGram in '87, the band's self-titled debut, with Phil Lewis replacing Rose, sold over a million copies, as did "Cocked and Loaded" (1989) and "Hollywood Vampires" (1991).

Tracii Guns' L.A. GUNS is not to be confused with the Phil Lewis-led version of the group, which is also continuing to record and perform under the L.A. GUNS moniker.

In March of this year, Pearl released his third literary offering, "Unhappy Endings", a book written from his own experiences that takes the viewpoint of a rock star that has lived the life teens dream about.

Favored Nations Entertainment has set a September 27 release date for "Acoustic Gypsy Live" by L.A. GUNS (Tracii Guns, guitar; Danny Nordahl, bass; Chad Steward, drums; Jizzy Pearl, vocals, Teddy "Zig Zag" Andreadis, keyboards, Muddy Stardust; guitar and back-up vocals; Doni Gray, percussion). Produced, mixed and mastered by Grammy winner Neil Citron, this is the first acoustic album by the acclaimed Los Angeles band in its 29-year history, recorded at The Hotel Caf in Hollywood.
