SINGLE BULLET THEORY Adds New Guitarist

Philadelphia-based metal band SINGLE BULLET THEORY has recruited guitarist John Ruszin III (ex-CARFAX ABBEY) for the recording of the group's new album, "Divine Ways of Chaos".

SINGLE BULLET THEORY is now officially a five-piece band, with three axemen — Ruszin, vocalist Matt Difabio and Dan Loughry (ex-POLTERCHIRIST) — sharing guitar duties.

John (pictured below) has been playing guitar for over 25 years. As a student at Musicians Institute, he studied with Paul Gilbert (RACER X, MR. BIG),Frank Gambale (CHICK COREA),and Jennifer Batten (MICHAEL JACKSON).

John was voted the "Best Rock Guitar Player" in Philadelphia in 2004 by the Philadelphia Music Conference and currently teaches guitar at Princeton, New Jersey's "School of Rock". John also experienced moderate success while being signed and touring with his former band, CARFAX ABBEY (Dancing Ferret Records) .

Commented Difabio: "I am stoked to have the caliber of musicians that are currently in the SINGLE BULLET THEORY camp.

"This recording will be by far the most ambitious and challenging of my carreer.

"'Divine Ways of Chaos' will be a record for musicians. Of course, it's going to be a heavy record, but there are 12 songs that each have 4-7 solos in them and intense time changes. This will be a progressive effort nonetheless.

"The recording process is going slow but there are definitive plans to have everything wrapped up by the spring of 2010. Then a few shows will be played regionally. No touring plans are in the works.

"All guitar, bass and vocals are being recorded at John's Collinwood13 studio in Wynona, New Jersey. Drums are being recorded at Signal Sound in Quakertown, Pennsylvania."
