SINISTER: South American Tour Cancelled
August 10, 2008Dutch death metallers SINISTER have been forced to cancel their previously announced South American tour. According to the band, "We asked the promoters many times to send us the info about the flight tickets but we NEVER received any answer, so we cannot take the chance to go there and be there without any shows. We are really sorry for our South America fans that we cannot come, because we where so looking forward to play there for you. We hope you understand!"
SINISTER will release its new album, "The Silent Howling", on August 22 via Massacre Records. Check out the cover artwork below. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "The Silent Howling", "If It Bleeds...", "The Kill To Come" and "Fortified Bravery". The album was recorded at Soundlodge Studio in Germany. Audio samples are available on the band's MySpace page.
SINISTER's current lineup includes Aad Kloosterwaard (vocals),Alex Paul (guitar),Bas van den Bogaard (bass) and Edwin Van Den Eeden (drums).
A preview clip of the first-ever live DVD from SINISTER, entitled "Prophecies Denied", is available below. Released this in January 2007 in North America via MVD Visual, the disc was shot with seven cameras on August 24, 2006 at the Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland and was made available as a standard DVD and a DVD+CD limited-edition package. The DVD also includes an interview with the band's frontman Aad Kloosterwaard and guitarist Alex Paul as well as a documentary, "Angels of the Apocalypse", plus rare footage.
SINISTER's latest CD, "Afterburner", was released in 2006 through Nuclear Blast Records.
