SIX FEET UNDER Announces New Drummer

February 3, 2011

Florida death metal veterans SIX FEET UNDER have announced the addition of drummer Kevin Talley (DAATH, MISERY INDEX, CHIMAIRA) to the group's ranks.

Commented SIX FEET UNDER frontman Chris Barnes: "I am 110 percent stoked to have Kevin join SIX FEET UNDER. He is undeniably one of the best, if not THE best drummer in death metal, and I'm proud to have him along for the ride!"

In a previous statement, Barnes promised that SIX FEET UNDER's new lineup would be "a death metal force to be dealt with," with "riffs that will rip your face off [and] vocals ala 1993-1995."

Bassist Terry Butler and drummer Greg Gall announced their departures from SIX FEET UNDER earlier this week.

Butler has since joined OBITUARY as a permanent member.

SIX FEET UNDER's "Wake The Night! Live In Germany" DVD was released on January 31 in Europe (three days earlier in Germany) and February 1 in North America via Metal Blade Records. The set consists footage of the band's August 8, 2009 performance at the Party.San Open Air festival in Bad Berka, Germany. The gig was filmed by Roax Films with nine cameras and recorded in 5.1 Surround Sound, picture size 16:9 — best entertainment guaranteed!

The "Victim Of The Paranoid" performance from the DVD can be viewed below.
