SIXX:A.M./Ex-GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist DJ ASHBA Discusses Opening Of ASHBA CLOTHING Retail Store (Video)
April 19, 2016Former GUNS N' ROSES and current SIXX:A.M. guitarist DJ Ashba opened the first Ashba Clothing retail store on April 7 at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 1500-square-foot store is located in the second-floor Tower Shop and is open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. seven days a week.
On April 6, Ashba made an appearance in the studios of KTNV Channel 13 in Las Vegas to discuss his Ashba Clothing. You can now watch the segment below.
Fans can order the line online here, and like this shopping portal, the retail store promises to deliver rock music culture-inspired attire, as well as the brand's staple "build a beanie" opportunity. With all items designed meticulously by DJ himself, fans can expect each piece to be a showstopper.
"There's truly nothing like the feeling of traveling the world and seeing fans wearing pieces of my clothing line," DJ said. "This has been an eight-year labor of love, making sure I get everything perfect for the fans that have supported me over the years. I'd really like to thank all of the passionate people who have followed all of my endeavors. My plan is for this to be far more than just clothing. There will be a ton of cool events planned at the shop, making it a real go-to stop in Vegas."
Ashba, who joined GUNS N' ROSES in March 2009 following the departure of Robin Finck, issued a statement in July 2015 saying that he was leaving the band. His statement read in part: "It is with a very heavy heart and yet great pride that I announce that I've decided to close this chapter of my life and encapsulate the wonderful times that I've shared with GUNS N' ROSES into fond memories. I have reached a point in my life where I feel its time to dedicate myself to my band SIXX: A.M., my adoring wife and family, and to the many new adventures that the future holds for me."
Ashba said earlier in his statement that working with GUNS N' ROSES was "the most incredible journey I could have possibly imagined."
The first volume of SIXX:A.M.'s upcoming double album, "Prayers For The Damned", will drop April 29 via Eleven Seven Music.
