SKINDRED To Release 'Electric Avenue' This Monday
January 10, 2009Welsh ragga-metallers SKINDRED will release "Electric Avenue", a cover of the classic EDDY GRANT song, through MySpace this Monday, January 12.
"Electric Avenue" became a cross-Atlantic smash, topping the charts in both the U.S. and U.K. The original most recently gained notoriety by being prominently featured in the hit Seth Rogen comedy "Pineapple Express".
SKINDRED stopped by the WJRR studios in Orlando, Florida prior to its December 11, 2008 concert at the House of Blues to perform a couple of songs acoustically, including "Pressure" and "Trouble". Watch video footage of the performance at this location.
After receiving an exclusive premiere via the Xbox LIVE marketplace, SKINDRED's video for the band's current single, "Trouble", can be viewed below. Filmed in London at Greenford Studios, the clip was helmed by Visual Abuse, whose members' previous credits include visual effects on the Academy Award-winning film "Saving Private Ryan", the first four "Harry Potter" films, over 600 commercials, and promotional videos for KEANE, RADIOHEAD and NINE INCH NAILS.
SKINDRED will resume touring next week when it joins forces with DISTURBED and SEVENDUST for a cross-country U.S. tour. Beginning January 16 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the trek will hit large theaters and small arenas coast to coast until it comes to a close in late February.
