SKINDRED To Release 'Rock Roots Riot' In October
July 24, 2007Welsh ragga-punk-metal outfit SKINDRED has set October 23 as the release date for its second album, entitled "Rock Roots Riot". The group plan to release the first single from the effort, "Rat Race", in the coming weeks, with a radio impact date to shortly follow.
The recording of "Rock Roots Riot" was completed at Bieler Bros. Studios in Pompano Beach, FL with producer Matt Squire (PANIC AT THE DISCO) and was mixed by Rick Will (BABYLON). The album will feature twelve tracks sure to take hardcore SKINDRED fans to a whole new level.
"Rock Roots Riot" will be the follow-up to the band's groundbreaking, breakthrough, debut album, "Babylon", which sold over 250,000 copies and featured the smash single "Nobody" and its successful follow-up "Pressure". During the time of "Babylon"'s release, SKINDRED toured the world exhaustively with the likes of KORN, CHEVELLE, BREAKING BENJAMIN, H.I.M., SEVENDUST, PAPA ROACH, SOULFLY and also appeared on the mega Download festival, where SKINDRED frontman Benji Webbe took over vocals for KORN to perform their legendary song, "A.D.I.D.A.S."
SKINDRED has kept a low profile stateside while writing the new record and touring their native U.K. That will change upon the release of "Rock Roots Riot" as the band has extensive tour plans in the works.
