SKINLAB Guitarist SNAKE Joins RE:IGNITION

May 24, 2004

RE:IGNITION (formerly DEF IGNITION),the new San Francisco Bay Area band led by SKINLAB's Steev Esquivel, have issued the following update:

"Hey everyone, time for some more news. we're gonna try our hardest to keep everyone up to date on the current RE:IGNITION activities.

"First off, we are very pleased to announce that RE:IGNITION is now managed by James Brogan @ Primed Entertainment (DOWNSTAGE, SAMIAM). We are very stoked to be working with James and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.

"Next... We'd like to announce that Snake (SKINLAB) has joined RE:IGNITION as our permanent bass player. Yup That's right, Snake has decided to pick up the bass and give it a shot. Well it didn't take long for us to notice that he was more than capable of handling bass duties. After a couple of jam sessions it was obvious he was our guy. We are all totally stoked to have him on board. Snake will be making his live debut June 5th.

"We have also entered our next recording faze. With a change of plans and studio locations, we decided to go with Juan Urteaga and the freshly remodeled Trident studios. Juan was kind enough to hook us up and let us break in the 60 channels of Neve pre amps, the new killer drum room, and making life so easy..... Pro Tools.

"The stuff came out sounding huge. We layed down 5 songs of music, Dave will be laying down his vocals next week. Then the plan is to have everything up and running by June so we can start gigging up and down the coast, and try and land a record deal! Yup that's right, we've been cleared to take RE:IGNITION to what ever label we WANT!. Needless to say... It's on!!

"Also, next week... RE:IGNITION will be featured on KSJO's 'Hardcore Hell' show with Nikki Blakk. Nikki will actually be coming down to Trident Studios to interview the band this week. The interview will be aired May 28th, Nikki will also be giving away tickets to our next show on June 5th (w/ MANMADEGOD, LEFT OF NORMAL, RIVALS and FED UP @ The PoundSF) during 'Hardcore Hell' May 27, 28, 29. On top of that, we'll be giving CD's to the first 50 people attending the show. That's it for now, keep an eye out on the site. We'll be adding shots from our first photo shoot, as well as studio shots.

"For now here's the first live RE:IGNITION pictures courtesy of Sarah Trigg and www.rokhedz.net."
