SKYCLAD, PARAGON Confirmed For U.K.'s RAGNAROK FESTIVAL Pre-Show Party

February 9, 2006

Metalism UK and the Ragnarok Festival have announced the complete lineup for the festival's pre-show party on November 3, dubbed Fimbulvetr (The Winter of Winters).

First up are NEVERWINTER, a band from the Bristol area of England who play a style of music that is somewhat folk-, gothic- and progressive-tinged metal. Secondly, a band that need no introduction to the Scottish metal scene: ATTICA RAGE will be Scotland's representatives on the lineup for the first year of Ragnarok. PITIFUL REIGN, who are one of the leaders of the U.K.'s thrash metal revival, take up the middle slot for the evening.

German titans PARAGON will be gracing the U.K. for their debut performance at Fimbulvetr and will destroy the stage for a joint headline set. And finally, U.K. folk metal legends SKYCLAD will be co-headling the preshow along with PARAGON. The venue and other details are still to be confirmed and will be shortly.

The main day of the festival takes place on Saturday, November 4 at the Perth Concert Hall in Central Scotland, U.K. Thus far, GAMMA RAY, CHARON, ELVENKING, INTENSE and HEADLESS CROSS are confirmed, with five more international acts to be added to the billing.
