SLAYER Begin Work On New Album
June 3, 2003SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo was set to meet with fellow bandmembers Jeff Hannemann and Kerry King Monday (June 2) to begin putting material together for a new SLAYER album, tentatively due in early 2004, according to www.dave-lombardo.com. Both King and Hannemann are said to have penned new music for the upcoming CD, the group's first since the departure of drummer Paul Bostaph (now in SYSTEMATIC). SLAYER's last album, "God Hates Us All", was released in 2001.
As previously reported, SLAYER have been tapped to headline the Fall 2003 edition of the Jagermeister Music Tour, scheduled to kick off in October. More details, including the names of the bands that will make up the rest of the bill, will be announced soon.
