SLAYER: 'Christ Illusion' $6.66 One-Day Sale At The Exchange

The Exchange — an independent record store chain in business since 1975 with 13 stores in the Cleveland area and seven stores in Pittsburgh — will be hosting a special Customer Appreciation Sale for SLAYER's forthcoming "Christ Illusion" CD on Tuesday, August 8. On this day (the official release date of the new album),all 20 Exchange stores will have the CD sale priced at the incredibly low price of $6.66. There is a limit of two discs per customer and the offer is good while supplies last. Each store will have a minimum of 100 discs. Store hours are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. As an added bonus and to celebrate the grand opening of The Exchange's two new Ohio stores in Willoughby (35101 Euclid Ave.; 440-946-2047) and Canton (3225 Cleveland Ave. NW; 330-492-4808),customers who purchase the new SLAYER album on August 8 will receive a free limited-edition "Reign In Blood" 20th anniversary poster. This offer is good at these two locations only.

SLAYER and The Exchange have a long history of doing many memorable instores and special events together over the years. SLAYER's new "Christ Illusion" album is the first with the original lineup of Tom Araya (bass/vocals),Kerry King (guitar),Jeff Hanneman (guitar) and Dave Lombardo (drums) since 1990's "Seasons In The Abyss". They have returned to the Warner Music Group via American Records. This event is being supported by Cleveland college radio stations WJCU, WCSB, WRUW; commercial radio stations K-ROCK's "The Metal Show", WMMS, WRQK; Scene magazine, Free Times magazine, Akron-Beacon Journal, Pitriff.com and TheClassicMetalShow.com.
