November 27, 2006

According to The Des Moines Register, start times have been set for SLIPKNOT's screening of its new behind-the-scenes DVD, "Voliminal: Inside the Nine", on Dec. 5 in local theaters.

The screenings will start at 7:30 p.m. at two different theaters: Southridge 12, 6720 E. 14th Ave., in Des Moines and at Wynnsong 16, 5233 N.W. 86th St. in Johnston.

An extra 20-minute filmed interview with SLIPKNOT's Shawn "Clown" Crahan, the director, will be included in the theater screenings as bonus footage not found on the DVD, which also hits stores on Dec. 5.

Due on December 5 via Roadrunner, "Voliminal" is a 90-minute art film, created and directed by director and SLIPKNOT percussionist, M. Shawn Crahan (better known as Clown),which gives the SLIPKNOT fan a window into the world of the band as seen through the mind of its creator. Filmed during the recording of the band's multi-platinum album "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)" and subsequent world tour, the film was shot on hand-held cameras and, as a result, is brutally honest and visually unique. The sound and eye catching edits are intense, disturbing and jarring while the cinematography brings the viewer as close as one can get to the band.

SLIPKNOT is the nine-piece, groundbreaking, hard rock band out of Des Moines, IA that has sold over 5 million albums in the U.S. on three studio albums. Their last studio album "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)" was released in May 2004, debuting at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and has sold over 1.5 million copies in the U.S. to date. The album broke new ground for the band and spawned the hit singles "Duality", "Vermilion" and "Before I Forget". In November 2005 the band released "Slipknot 9.0: Live", a gold-certified double live album.
