SLIPKNOT Percussionist To Guest On KCAL's 'Moshpit'

February 26, 2009

SLIPKOT's Shawn "Clown" Crahan will appear as a call-in guest on the "Moshpit" show on Southern California's KCAL radio station this Saturday, February 28 between 10 p.m. and 2:00 a,m. PST. Longtime host Mike Z. will chat with the baseball bat-wielding Clown about the band's current headlining tour, the group's Billboard chart-topping album "All Hope is Gone" and other metallic topics. So Cal'ers can tune their dial to 96.7 FM while the rest of the world can listen to a stream at www.kcalfm.com.

SLIPKNOT's latest release, "All Hope Is Gone", has been certified gold for moving more than 500,000 copies since its arrival last August.

SLIPKNOT percussionist Chris Fehn told KansasCity.com that he thinks his band could eventually be even bigger than soon-to-be-Rock-and-Roll-Hall-of-Famers METALLICA. Fehn said, "I think we're going to overtake METALLICA. We're going to overtake any band that sells out soccer arenas in Europe. We're going to do it. We're the last chance as far as the world goes."

Even though the masked men from Iowa have several gold and platinum records under their belts, Fehn thinks they could reach the same peak METALLICA hit with their self-titled 1991 "black" album, which sold more than 15 million copies in the U.S. alone. Fehn said, "We haven't even made our 'black' record yet. Wait until we do that. It's over, dude."
