SLIPKNOT Percussionist To Host New-Band Showcase In New York City

January 22, 2007

SLIPKNOT percussionist M. Shawn "Clown" Crahan will host a special new-band showcase on Monday, January 29 at Sin-E (150 Attorney St.) in New York City. Performing that night will be:

* DIRTFEDD: A metal act based in Lincoln, Nebraska that has a fan base that thrives on the group's live shows. They've shared the stage with acts such as LAMB OF GOD, UNEARTH, GOD FORBID, ILL NINO, FLAW, 40 BELOW SUMMER, HED(P.E.), and many others. They spent most of 2006 touring in and around the Midwest.

* MURDER OF CROWS: Hailing from Denver, MURDER OF CROWS recently finished up their as-yet-untitled debut album produced by Crahan. They spent much of 2006 on the road and 2007 looks to be no different. Complacency and blandness is suffered by millions each day. MURDER OF CROWS has the antidote.

* AFREUDIANSLIP: Emerging from the Baltimore scene that's mainly saturated with pop-punk and pop-rock acts is this four-piece metal band. Their full-on, high energy show has built them an amazingly loyal fanbase, packing clubs throughout the Baltimore/Washington region; as well as gaining airplay on all major rock and active rock regions in the area. The wide array of musical influences of each member creates a unique sound that makes AFREUDIANSLIP a standout act in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Tickets are $5 at the door. Must be 21+ w/ ID. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Show starts at 7:00 p.m.

Sin-E is located at 150 Attorney St. (located between Houston and Stanton and three blocks east of Avenue A) in New York City. Tel. #: 212.388.0077.
