SLIPKNOT's CLOWN At 'The Devil's Carnival': More Interview Footage Posted Online

April 10, 2012

SLIPKNOT percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan made his acting debut in "The Devil's Carnival", the new project Darren Lynn Bousman directed that is being seen as a companion piece of sorts to "Repo! The Genetic Opera".

2008's "Repo! The Genetic Opera" was hailed by The Hollywood Reporter as "the next 'Rocky Horror Picture Show'" and proved to be a cult sensation. Bousman and writer/actor Terrance Zdunich are at it again with this new horror/camp/rock musical endeavor "The Devil's Carnival".

Commented Crahan: "I am very honored to have been asked to be a part of this project.

"I play a character called The Tamer. And let me tell you, there is a little Tamer in all of us.

"It's always been a dream and a goal for me to try and act in something that is filmed besides music videos.

"I am very honored to have the opportunity to have worked with so many talented actors and people who are involved in making this production come to life."

In addition to Crahan, the "The Devil's Carnival" cast consists of "Repo! The Genetic Opera" co-creator Terrance Zdunich, as well as "Repo!" stars Alexa Vega, Ogre (from SKINNY PUPPY) and Paul Sorvino. Emilie Autumn and Sean Patrick Flanery also joined previously announced Bill Moseley and Briana Evigan and Marc Senter.

Crahan was interviewed by Eric Blair of "The Blairing Out With Eric Blair Show" at the "The Devil's Carnival" red-carpet premiere, which was held on April 5 at Laemmle Royal Theater in Los Angeles, California. Check out the chat below.
