SLIPKNOT's CLOWN Interviewed At U.K.'s DOWNLOAD Festival; Video Available

SLIPKNOT percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan was interviewed earlier today (Saturday, June 13) by Kerrang! podcast host Simon Young at the Download festival, which is being held June 12-14 at Donington Park, United Kingdom. Watch the chat below.

As previously reported, the members of SLIPKNOT were presented with gold awards signifying German sales of more than 100,000 copies of their latest album, "All Hope Is Gone", prior to the band's June 6, 2009 performance at the Rock Am Ring festival in Nürburgring.

SLIPKNOT's video for the song "Sulfur" was shot on March 9 in the Los Angeles area and was directed by Crahan and P.R. Brown (MÖTLEY CRÜE, MARILYN MANSON, CHIMAIRA, AVENGED SEVENFOLD),who helmed the last two SLIPKNOT clips, "Psychosocial" and "Dead Memories". The video depicts the nine members rocking out in groups of three and submerged in water one at a time. The video concept was modeled after a video installation by Bill Viola called "Ascension" that's currently on display at the Des Moines Arts Center.

SLIPKNOT was awarded with an EMMA Award for "Best International Act." The EMMAs are the Finnish equivalent of the Grammys.
