SLIPKNOT's CLOWN Says Band Were Offered OZZFEST 2006 Dates

December 22, 2005

SLIPKNOT percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan told the Des Moines Register that the band will spend 2006 off the road after performing 233 shows in support of "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)". Then again, SLIPKNOT already has been offered a stray date or two on next year's Ozzfest, said Crahan. The next SLIPKNOT product to hit shelves should be a DVD.

"It's more or less going to be a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff," Crahan said.

Meanwhile, Crahan's side project, TO MY SURPRISE, begins recording a sophomore album in March.

Singer Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root's other band, STONE SOUR, soon will hole up in Dave Grohl's Los Angeles studio with producer Nick Raskulinecz.

And drummer Joey Jordison is expected to tour with MINISTRY.
