October 14, 2003

SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor caught hair metal tribute band METAL SHOP's weekly gig at the Viper Room in West Hollywood, California, on Monday (October 13) and was dragged onstage to sing spot-on renditions of IRON MAIDEN's "Number of the Beast", POISON's "Nothin' But a Good Time" and BLACK SABBATH's "Paranoid", according to MTV.com. He reportedly nodded at Kelly Osbourne during the latter.

SLIPKNOT are ensconced at a Los Angeles studio with producer Rick Rubin laying down drum tracks for the follow-up to 2001's "Iowa", tentatively due in early 2004 through Roadrunner Records.
