SLIPKNOT, SEPULTURA, MACHINE HEAD Members To Take Part In ROADRUNNER's 25th Anniversary Concert

September 24, 2005

Roadrunner Records is in the process of organizing a special concert featuring musicians from many of the label's past and present acts to coincide with the company's 25th anniversary. The show, which will take place on Thursday, December 15 in New York City, will feature a core backing band that is rumored to consist of Dino Cazares (guitar; ex-FEAR FACTORY, BRUJERIA),Andreas Kisser (guitar; SEPULTURA),Adam Duce (bass; MACHINE HEAD) and Joey Jordison (drums; SLIPKNOT),with a rotating cast of singers performing some of the "greatest hits" recorded and released under the Roadrunner banner. Around 25 vocalists are expected to take part in the proceedings, including frontmen for some of the label's most celebrated acts, although the exact lineup has yet to be officially confirmed.

The upcoming concert will follow the release of the ROADRUNNER UNITED "The All-Star Sessions" CD, which features 55 artists from 42 of Roadrunner's past and present bands collaborating on original tracks. Due in stores on October 11, "The All-Star Sessions" CD contains songwriting and production contributions from four central musicians — Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT),Dino Cazares (ex-FEAR FACTORY, BRUJERIA),Robert Flynn (MACHINE HEAD) and Matthew Heafy (TRIVIUM) — with each track featuring a unique team of artists. In order to cover as wide a spectrum as possible, no musician has played for more than one writer/producer and each song features a different vocalist.
