SLIPKNOT Set First Single Off New Album
March 6, 2004SLIPKNOT will release the track "Duality" as the first single from their as-yet-untitled new album, due out on May 25 through Roadrunner Records. The song will impact radio stations on May 4.
In other news, SLIPKNOT's track "Don't Get Close", which appears in the recently released Activision game "MTX: Motocross", will NOT be appearing on the upcoming album in any form, according to Roadrunner Records. "Seems that SLIPKNOT and producer Rick Rubin have a little problem in that there's too much great shit to choose from, and only so much material they can fit on the new CD," reads a post on Roadrunner's web site.
As previously reported, SLIPKNOT will make the first song off their forthcoming album available for download via their official web site, www.slipknot1.com, on March 30. No further details are currently available. The band are currently preparing to hit the road as part of the fourth installment of the Jägermeister Music Tour, beginning March 30 in Orlando, Florida. FEAR FACTORY and CHIMAIRA are also onboard for the five-week trek, which wraps up May 4 in Denver.
