SLIPKNOT Singer, ANTHRAX Guitarist To Jam At New York City's Retox Club
March 28, 2007STONE SOUR/SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor will perform a few songs with ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian at the Retox rock bar in New York City on Thursday, April 5. Taylor's STONE SOUR bandmates and members of SHADOWS FALL are also expected to be in attendance.
Retox (511 West 28th Street) was opened by Ian and club owner Mike Diamond, who started Snitch, Pangaea and Vela.
New York Post recently reported that Ian and Diamond are shopping a rock-themed pilot to the networks. No further information is currently available.
STONE SOUR kicked off the spring edition of the Jägermeister Music Tour last Friday (March 23) in St. Paul, Minnesota, with LACUNA COIL and SHADOWS FALL along for the ride.
The Jägermeister run is slated to last through May 4, when it winds down in STONE SOUR's hometown of Des Moines, Iowa. STONE SOUR heads to Australia and Japan a week later.
The second STONE SOUR album, "Come What(ever) May", has sold over half a million copies since its release last August.
The CD's latest single is called "Sillyworld". A video for the song has been posted online at YouTube.
