SLIPKNOT Sponsoring Friday's Gallery Night In West Des Moines

April 13, 2009

According to DesMoinesRegister.com, SLIPKNOT has been added to the list of sponsors for Friday's gallery night in Valley Junction, West Des Moines, Iowa.

Iowa's most famous rockers may have discovered a new interest in delicate watercolors and hand-thrown pottery, but there's another reason they decided to chip in. Percussionist Shawn Crahan's wife, Chantel, is a silversmith and pulled a few SLIPKNOT strings.

"All of them love art," she said. "So I thought it'd be a good chance for them to support the community."

Her jewelry will be on display at 2 AU gallery, while her husband's upcoming project — a book of Polaroid photos from the band's life on the road — may be part of a future show.
