SLIPKNOT To Release Live Album In October

July 12, 2005

SLIPKNOT are enjoying the spoils of their hard-won success. Never ones to rest on their laurels, the band are still on the road and promoting their record that came out over a year ago while simultaneously readying a live album for release in October of 2005.

The band's third album debuted at #2 on The Billboard 200 on May 31, 2004 after its May 25 release. The CD, entitled "Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)", has been hanging in the Top 200 ever since that release, marking over one full year of chart success.

The album's third single, "Before I Forget", is the band's third Top 10 rock single. With an audience nearing 6.5 million listeners and great research at the stations playing the track, "Before I Forget" is a hit! The video for the track premiered on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" this weekend and it can also be seen on Fuse on "Rockzilla", "Metal Asylum", "Uranium" and "Ovenfresh". This follows the success of the album's previous hits — "Duality" and "Vermilion".

October 2005 will see the release of the band's first live album (title to be announced). The album promises to convey the excitement of SLIPKNOT's unparalleled live sets. In the spirit of this release, SLIPKNOT are due back in the USA in the fall of 2005 for another round of successful American touring. Dates are scheduled between October 15 and November 15 thus far. The band's previous tours — headlining with LAMB OF GOD and SHADOWS FALL in tow, headlining the second stage of Ozzfest and the 2004 Jagermeister Music Tour — were mega-successful and bode well for the fall 2005 run.

"Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)" has sold 1,141,487 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
