SOIL Confirmed For U.K.'s SONISPHERE Festival
July 20, 2009Chicago heavy rockers SOIL have been confirmed for the METALLICA-headlined inaugural Sonisphere festival, set to take place on August 1-2 at the legendary Knebworth Park, United Kingdom.
Commented bassist Tim King: "We are extremely excited to be part of the Sonisphere festival this year. We have just finished recording the new SOIL album 'Picture Perfect'. This will be an exclusive one date U.K. show to play some new material for the fans, as well as, some old classics!"
Sonisphere is headlined by LINKIN PARK and METALLICA, with additional appearances by AVENGED SEVENFOLD, NINE INCH NAILS, HEAVEN & HELL, COHEED & CAMBRIA, ANTHRAX, ALICE IN CHAINS, FEEDER, TAKING BACK SUNDAY, SKINDRED, THUNDER, THE WILDHEARTS, MASTODON, AIRBOURNE, KILLING JOKE, and LAMB OF GOD, among others.
Weekend tickets are priced at £132.50, or £157.50 with camping. Lockers are priced at £10, and parking is also £10 in advance or £20 on the day. And early arrival camping entry ticket is priced at £10, and tickets for camper vans are priced at £40. Day tickets are available priced at £67.50 for either day.
