SOIL Interviewed On KBK LIVE (Video)

March 4, 2011

KBK Live conducted an interview with Chicago heavy rockers SOIL on February 19, 2011 in Dixon, Illinois. You can now watch the chat below.

A new version of the SOIL song "Surrounded" featuring the band's current singer, Jordan Lee (ex-SILVERGUN),was recently made available for purchase via iTunes.

SOIL's current lineup includes guitarist Adam Zadel and bassist Tim King alongside the band's latest additions, Lee and Mike Tignino (drums; CHAINWAX).

As previously reported, SOIL singer/guitarist A.J. Cavalier is on an "indefinite hiatus" from the band but has not officially quit the group. SOIL drummer Tom Schofield revealed in July 2010 that he is "looking for new musical opportunities while A.J. is on hiatus" and is not taking part in any of the band's current dates.

Cavalier, who previously fronted the California-based band DIESEL MACHINE (also featuring ex-DAMAGEPLAN singer Patrick Lachman on guitar),joined SOIL in late 2004 as the replacement for Ryan McCombs (now in DROWNING POOL).

SOIL's latest album, "Picture Perfect", sold 1,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 56 on the Hard Music chart. The CD was released in the U.S. on October 20, 2009 via Bieler Bros. Records and three days later in Europe through AFM Records/Soulfood.
